Service Description

Meals that support the opening and relaxation of a retreat is invaluable, especially if they are also wholesome, nutrition, and healthy for the gut. Good nutrition has the special function of having immediate effects of wellbeing (or the opposite depending on what's eaten!). It's important to understand the gut-brain axis in order to facilitate the retreat goals that are being undertaken. Even a weekend can be transformative through good nutrition. In addition, when the knowledge of Ayurveda is included, a whole world of balanced nutrition is opened. Ayurveda helps us to understand what foods are best in which season or what type of weather, what time of day is or isn't appropriate for certain foods, is highly personalised, and is full of the vital life force, Prana, leaving individuals feeling refreshed, grounded, and renewed. The response is always positive, with none of the usual digestive upsets that happen. I prepare the menu, create the shopping list and collect needed ingredients, and cook beautiful, nourishing meals on site. Reach out if you are looking for truly wholesome, comforting, enlivening, easy on the digestion meals for your next retreat. Option to give a presentation on Ayurvedic nutrition and cooking while on retreat. Pricing is dependent on retreat particulars and number of participants.
